Thats a real shame Terry. She is indeed beautiful. I couldn't find too many other pictures of her on the Web from this period, so the one above had to do. Do you have any others Tel ?

I tried to contact her son Lawrence recently but no joy.
I'll have a look to see if I can find some photos. She really was a lovely lady.

Top, top sitcom. I have all of the episodes and the Xmas Special and I never tire of watching them. The writing and acting is superb. Being a Berwick lad myself I love to hear the numerous references to my old home town. Clement & La Frenais use this in Auf Wiedersehen Pet too, wonder what their connection to there is. Any info Terry? I was sad to hear about Elizabeth Lax Terry, same age as me Be great to have both Bolam & Bewes together on screen again before it's too late but that's unlikely.

Top, top sitcom...... Be great to have both Bolam & Bewes together on screen again before it's too late but that's unlikely. I don't think it will ever happen Steve. It's been too long now and the rift between RB & JB is unlikely to end. A real shame as the chemistry between the two was something special in TLL & WHTTLL.
I've written to Bewes dozens of times and never once received the courtesy of a reply despite always including a stamped addressed envelope. James Bolam on the other hand replied to my very first letter with a hand written response. Some years later (1997), I met him while I was at work in Bromsgrove. He was filming "The Missing Postman" at the time. He was a really nice friendly bloke.

Interesting Gene. Surprised by that, by both of their responses. Would expect RB to reply and JB not. I liked JB in Only When I Laugh and The Beiderbecke Affair too but was under the impression he was stand offish. JB from Sunderland too, ha'way the lads Can you tell me anymore about your correspondence?
