Sad news this, read about it elsewhere this morning and by strange coincidence was listening to Laurie's Professionals soundtrack CD on the way to work. As well as the Avengers (old and new of course) he wrote the catchy theme to 'Jason King'.
One of my favourites of his was his version of the Whicker's World theme...
RIP Laurie Johnson.

Sad news. Such iconic theme tunes from TV's golden era. So hard to chose a favourite (probably The Professionals).
I knew he had an impressive portfolio of library music under his belt too, but hadn't realised the This Is Your Life theme was one of them until I heard the nice tribute Radio 4's 6pm news gave him this evening. RIP.
