Sad news indeed, S&H was dedicated viewing in our house growing up - many years later David moved to the UK and lived in the village of Willoughby not far from me for a number of years, we used to see him occasionally... RIP 'Hutch'... As well as his more well known rolls, he also played a cop in an episode of 'The Streets Of San Francisco' in 1973 and made quite an impression. Villain

T his is sad, I liked him, he was good in Starsky and Hutch, and I liked his three 1977 hits, Don't give up on us, Going in with my eyes open and, best of the three Silver Lady.

Yes, sorry to read that.
David was very good in Salem's Lot as well as Starsky and Hutch.
Plus I like his two hits in '77.
