Thanks Gene, quite enjoyed that! I like the comment by the narrator who said "on the road surface a civil engineer would have a fit over" (or something close to it) - Well aren't much of Britain's roads like that as normal now??!! The classic Citroen owners today are laughing!
I note the footage of the red CX is filmed separately to the other models as the DS is also seen, the CX's illustrious predecessor - although certain models of both cars overlapped in production of for about a year after the CX's launch I believe.
The later clip with the XM and the MK3 Granada looks like an "Old Top Gear" clip.
I recall for the BBC filming of the horse racing, a DS then a CX, then the XM estates and I'm pretty sure a noughties C6 were used as camera cars following the horses due to their smooth ride over the grass and ideal for steady camerawork.

Interesting vid. It's amazing how much those skinny profile tyres hold the road.

Interesting vid. It's amazing how much those skinny profile tyres hold the road. I agree Del it's probably (for it's day) a better handler than the current C3 whose tyres are twice the width of these. Car tyres generally have got a lot fatter and more expensive these days too.

Run flats are the worst. Pointless invention too if you use them to their instructions. By that I mean if you get a puncture you can run flat but then must change and not repair the tyre. So begs the question why not just have a normal spare or tyre emergency repair kit then change it, because as we know run flats are more expensive to buy, are a harsher ride and weigh more.
