I'm only really into football as far as sport goes, but I do have slight interests in boxing and cricket.
I've watched the first two tests against the Australians, and today's last day of the second test was an interesting finish, England had three wickets remaining and needed 170 to win, the tail end batsmen started piling on the runs and with one wicket left, the lead was down to 43, when the last man was caught out.
Anyone else watch it?

I kept an eye on it this week Carty. It was a close last day but no cigar in the end. Col and Ray will be happy.

Same old England, all the talk beforehand about Bazball but the outcome is always the same against Australia who play the game properly; thoughtful play, considered shots and grit, something that we always seem to lack against them which is why any win in the Ashes series is always celebrated to the full (remember Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff in 2005?).
Think ths series is already gone, hope I'm wrong but can't see anything else but a win for the baggy greens.

2-0 so far in the series to the Aussies. Let's see what happens when the 3rd test starts at Headingley on Thursday

Promising start today with four early wickets but the Aussies seem to have taken control and are starting to put the runs on. 179-4 last time I looked.

The third test I think has been really good. The Aussies are 251 in front, just finished their second innings, England need 252 to win, two days still to play, could go either way

It's got to be advantage England now, they only need 120 to win with 7 wickets left and today and tomorrow still to play

Well, they got over the line but what was Bairstow thinking? This, in a nutshell, is what I meant in my earlier post. You have a day and a half to get the runs, don't flash at every ball. 2 to go, let's see if they've learnt anything

It’s about time England bought back foukes behind the stumps so bairstow can get on with just batting Steve
