Just finished watching all of the episodes last night and note today that the channel seems to have been deleted, looks like I was just in time. Thanks for the heads up Carter

Think that channel was deactivated sometime last year too but came back so hopefully it’ll be up again soon.

The channel on Youtube? Damn!! I started watching the Spenders and only managed the first two and was going to go back. As Steve says hopefully they'll all come back again.

Very true Del, unless there's a specific unsurmountable issue blocking it being shown I can't for the life of me understand why it's not seen the light of day since the late 90's when I think UK Drama repeated it on sat/cable? If the masters are in existence a DVD/Blu Ray could easily be made of this but again it's £££'s with Network's demise who'd release a 30 odd year old series with niche appeal now. It might come out on streaming but doubt it. Shame the YT channel got deleted but sadly not surprised as someone must have blown them up to YT about it... maybe even 'Mr Nail' himself?

Money shouldn't be an option considering it's a BBC production. If you consider that they made Sean Lock's "15 Storey's High" available (very, very niche production, limited audience etc) there is obviously more too it than money.
If I'm being 100% honest, some of the episodes are pony; formulaic and cliched so maybe Jimmy Nail (or Ian La Frenais for that matter) has put a block on it for that reason. Don't get me wrong, they're still enjoyable to watch and far worse series have been released but it must be for reasons other than money, especially when you consider that some of the money for royalties could be made available for Sammy Johnson who Jimmy and the Auf Pet lads do benefit gigs for.
Hopefully the YT site will be up again in the near future and we can get another look. There are of course other versions there but the quality is very poor and unwatchable.

Well I missed those so hopefully they’ll appear again as I liked Spender first time round in about 1989/90 if I remember correctly.
I always liked the Sapphire Cosworth which was certainly a very decent set of wheels of the era. Deliberately understated to avoid attention as a backlash against the hot hatchbacks that had been stolen in increasing numbers as the eighties wore on.
