Although I'm not the biggest fan in the world our youngest daughter is keen on the Minis both the old original Mini as well as the recent BMW Mini. She's now on her second BMW Mini since passing her test and is considering a Cooper S at some point although she would still like an original to have alongside. Anyhow, we went along to Brookands Museum today for the Mini Day to peruse those on display. Needless to say there were far more of the modern Mini and all the variants, some with lairy paints schemes that were definitely not to my taste. The original Minis and the variants such as the Wolseley Hornet and Riley Elf were still fairly plentiful so here are some smudges of those taken (use the in picture arrows to scroll back and forth): https://www.instagram.com/p/CqQ4Py4KkGx While at the museum I thought I'd have another look around the static exhibits that are always on display so although not car-related I thought I'd post them up here in the next two Instagram posts if anyone is interested in the history of the museum itself: https://www.instagram.com/p/CqQ6qyvq9dJ Although the first pic is very similar to the last post the images to scroll through are very different: https://www.instagram.com/p/CqQ7sEVqHlf A good afternoon out dodging the rain showers and plenty of interest as always at the museum. Sam.

Looks like a great event Sam, sadly I couldn’t attend this year, maybe next time.
Thanks for posting the photos.

Excellent selection Sam. Really enjoyed looking through those. Though the weather doesn't seem to have been quite so kind it's still a great place to visit and wander around. I'll have to try and get back there myself this year if possible. Thanks for posting the photos Gene.

Thanks for posting a comprehensive look around this great venue, Sam. Looks like an interesting day out was enjoyed. I was very interested to see some of the aviation exhibits at Brooklands and of course the historic F1 cars.

Excellent stuff Sam seems like a great day out there, liked some of the aeronautical stuff they had on show in additional to the classic steel. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for uploading these Sam - very nice to see! My fav's are the 60's Coopers, the very early pre suffix Mini van and the possibly modified estate with side wood cladding.
I've enjoyed visiting Brooklands a number of times over the years (I remember bumping into you and your daughter one year of course) but have not seen that massive hanger with the aeronautical engines and the plane fuselage in the tunnel, looks very impressive - must look for that next time I go. The other ex airport service vehicles are interesting too and I've enjoyed having a walk through all the airliner planes cabins too - a great day out.
