I watched the first episode of this on Britbox today, whilst recovering from flu. Brian Blessed is terrific in this, comes across really strong. It's a BBC show from '76, loads of big names in it. Might be a bit highbrow for some of you primitives mind. Well worth a look if you like historical dramas.

Wasn't John Hurt in it too? Sweeney face!
Seen bits of it, couldn't really get into it though

Well worth a look if you like historical dramas. I remember the series the first time around. Probably not something a 13 year old should have been watching, particularly back then when the initial showing had some harrowing scenes which were censored in later screenings. However, it did teach me a bit about Roman history which I wouldn't have paid any attention to if it had been a lesson at school. As you say 3L, some respected names from the acting world featured and to this day, I still refer to it as I, Clavdivs !
