Just finished watching it myself. Possibly the best episode of series 1, imo. Real tension in it, some great dialogue from Jack “ holiday camp for thieves and weirdos” more superb shots of London towards the end of 74.
I love a lot of the small details, the vans and lorries, London Transport buses, a Wimpy bar etc, all stuff that was everyday and now largely gone. Of series 2 I think this possibly edges it, the weakest of the series I thought was Night Out.

Yes Cartman, it's the best episode of the first series for me too. A gripping story from start to finish. Janet Key is really good as Kate Regan and it's such a shame that she died at a relatively young age from cancer in 1992.

I've just belatedly read your TV Times piece on Wanda Arthur. Very good it was too.
Timothy was a lucky bloke getting together with Wanda. They seem to have had a very happy relationship the last forty or so years.
Another intelligent article from the old TV Times. A lot better than the dumbed down garbage celeb magazines publish these days.
Charles.

Thanks Charles, pleased you enjoy reading them. The two of them are the parents of actor Benedict Cumberbatch in case anyone didn't know.

On my recent trip to Iceland, I went to the Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik and Benedict Cumberbatch was in there too. Bolly and the kids were far more interested in the fact than I was to be fair Gene.

Just seen Jarvis (Eric Mason)in an episode of Grange Hill Series 4. He's a reformed character by 1981 and he's driving a coach load of Grange Hill to France He tells Alan Humphries off for having a sneaky beer in the bar on the ferry 🤣
