I was working down in Putney last year - and took a diversion back to the hotel via this location, as it was close by. Quite surprising just how little has changed down there since the autumn of 1974.
The climbing frame has gone; though you can still make out where it was - and much of the playground area with the curved curb stones are still there.
There's an outtake on the DVD set from the scene down there, where the camera whip pans right, where you can see the flats and banking in the background - and just how small the trees were!

Quite a few of us visited this location on a 4:3tv Meet in 2015 Sparky. There are some good photos in the Meet Report thread >>>Here<<<

I rewatched this one last night
Another incident of the by the book copper who couldn't hack The Sweeney
And, of course, how a copper's family can suffer.
It's a very good episode although the way the abduction is handled is a little hard to believe. Still, the trick with all these episodes is to resist the urge to dissect the plot, and just to go along with the ride.
Over the last few weeks I've watched all of series one again - I'll be embarking on series two soon.

Series 1 is very good, with the exception of Night Out, and, arguably Thin Ice, although I quite like that one.

I've never thought it was that bad, although I think I'm in the minority on here.
What is bad about it?

I've never thought 'Night Out' was that bad, although I think I'm in the minority on here. What is bad about it? I like it too Three Litre. Despite being a Troy Kennedy Martin funny one, I think it stays the right side of credible, and the serious stuff, the blag and the careerist and publicity seeking Super, work well. And obviously the boozer itself is absolutely brilliant.

And of course have visited the pub since.
Don't think they re-did the rooftop scenes though!
