When it comes to food I have to say that I'm a bit (understatement of the century) of a glutton...!!
For me though I love eating in an establishment that really does desperately cling onto the past rather than look to the future!!
I'm talking about establishments that are stuck in the midst's of time. Establishments that are a bit grotty, a bit unfashionable and probably not for this world much longer!! Not easy to find but they are still out there...
Where I live now (in Margate) there is a great café called the Dalby Café which is still an ode to times passed by.
When I used to live near 'that London' I used to love going to the 'Gay Hussar' in Soho, that was superb!!
In Molesey (again, near to my old dwellings) there is a glorious Italian run chippy called the 'Molesey Fish Bar' that still takes some beating...
We live in an age where old establishments are closing because people tastes are changing and the families are getting older (and the younger generations just don't want to know) but there are still some gems put there...
What little beauties have you stumbled upon and/or dined in...!?
