I've just watched this two parter on itv which was about the first use of DNA to convict a murderer, Colin Pitchfork. It was a dramatization of an actual case and was very good. John Simm and David Threlfall were in it, and both were excellent.
It was set in Leicestershire in the period 1983-7, and the era was well recreated I thought, some good cars in it, Rover SD1s, and a mark 5 Cortina.
Recommended, assume it's probably on iPlayer somewhere.

I'd agree with that Carty, a very good dramatisation.
It was first shown some years ago and if my memory serves me correct also had the actor that played Kim Trent from Life On Mars as well as Robert Glennister.
I'll have to look to see if it is on catchup and give it another viewing.
Sam.
