To all our members:
It has to be said and raised here that the Corona Virus is having a huge impact on all our lives and we here in the Admin at 4:3TV wish to express our concerns for the safety of all our members, their families and friends. Whilst the virus and the resulting behavioural impact has been raised and discussed in threads on the forum, it is clear that the message regarding this horrendous virus has been received and understood by all contributing members.
With the sheer level of media coverage that has been afforded to the spread and seriousness of the virus, you don't need your Admin team to preach any further - the daily updates over the number of confirmed cases and the growing number of deaths directly attributed to the virus should be a wake-up call to us all to protect ourselves and all those around us ahead of anything else. We all only have one life, including Vienna, and none of us want to lose it prematurely due to carelessness or flippancy.
I hope all members are devoid of the direct impact but on a personal note I'd like to advise that both my wife and daughter appear to have been infected, albeit mildly, as they've exhibited some of the Corona Virus symptoms. I say "appear" because they were not tested as the tests were not available but they've had serious coughs and associated shortness of breath for two weeks. We've had to call 111 and had to wait for them to call back - the NHS are so strained that our wait for the call back was in excess of eight hours!!!! Medication was prescribed and although it is early yet, some of the symptoms appear to be subsiding. Was it the virus? Was it not? We don't know but neither have had coughs and shortness of breath to that degree before.
So I would say to anyone that doubts or dismisses the severity of the virus, think again! Too many people are all too ready to post misinformation, fake news and conspiracy theories but this is real, this is genuine and Proboards, our hosts, are even telling us in Admin that any such misinformation will not be accepted:
So far we here on 4:3TV have avoided that level of member that other forums are happy to permit but we would stress that should any member's post be found to be in conflict with ours and Proboard's principles on the Corona Virus then their membership will be instantly revoked without question.
Finally I would add that we should all show our respects to so many NHS workers that are working one to one with the victims of the virus and placing themselves at huge risk everyday to try and bring people back, yes lives have been lost but our fantastic NHS doctors and nurses have saved so, so many more.
Sam.

Relying on accurate information is paramount to successfully overcoming this global pandemic. We will not tolerate the propagation of misinformation on our platform which could result in serious consequences for the public at large. If you see any false information posted on a ProBoards forum, report it to us here. Further, on our Support Forum we will not tolerate information from non-authoritative sources.
