Like the pics Del. Who are the four forum members outside? I would describe them as: a cat, a posh gentleman, a seventies ford and a.n.other

Great photos Del, I will have to pop over there at some point to take a look The Saint I wouldn't bother making a special trip as there's not too much to see. To the right looking at it from Wood Lane the extension now has a pub on the ground floor. The area under the Helios statue is a gym for the residents. I remember reading that this site had one affordable one bedroom flat to satisfy London planning rules. That flat's price tag was £700,000.

Sad to see this not being what it once was - a formerly iconic building where so much happened which entertained us all. I actually was there end of 2015 I think and stopped for a few minutes to watch while they were tearing some of the old stuff down, seemed so sad.

I remember in the early eighties on my second visit to London I was staying in a B&B in shepherds Bush, (The area was nicer in those days) and I found myself walking down a road called Lime Grove, and I suddenly realised it was where the old BBC studios were, so I was able to have a good look at it. It was empty and disused by then I think.
The building was still standing at the time but I'm sure they've built apartments on the site now. I wish I'd had a camera with me at the time. It must have been the BBC's main studio complex before the built the large Centre in Wood Lane. The building had been a film studio for the Gainsborough Film Company in past years.
