That Pepsi ad reminded me of a few more:

Not quite an advert but those Pepsi/Coke adverts were lampooned brilliantly by Hale n Pace - when they used to be funny.

I had an Action Man but I don't remember 'The Intruder' or the other characters in this clip. I lost my Action Man on holiday in the Lake District, I put him in a stream to swim & the current carried him away I was distraught, not sure I even got another one either.

Sorry to hear that Arthur. What a tragic demise.

He does look like Michael Jackson. According to wikipedia his face was modelled using publicity photos of the Black soldier character Jesse Blake from the film 'The Wild Geese' played by South African actor John Kani.

You never get over stuff like that Arthur, I wanted a Six Million Dollar Man figure for Christmas one year but got an Action Man with gripping hands and realistic hair instead. Life can be so cruel sometimes

I did get the Six Million Dollar doll one Christmas, it was no surprise though as most years I used to go looking for Christmas presents in my mum's wardrobe when everyone was out I even took it out of the packaging. Always regretted doing it afterwards as I had nothing to look forward to on Christmas Day. Did anyone else do that?

Me and my brother used to go looking for pressies . One year we thought we'd open some and we ripped the paper on one so got caught. That was a slapable offence in 1983 .........

There was a definite art to opening up the wrapping paper and re-sealing it in exactly the same place and I loved the challenge. Getting back on topic:
