Can't stand watching stuff that's been cropped to fill a desired aspect ratio so the widescreen version will be good to view.
Still got a long way to go to beat 4:3 TV though!

I have watched the Studio Canal version a few times now and it's OK. I couldn't wait for the widescreen version to come out as I wanted to see it, great film as mentioned. I will probably get the new DVD if only to see if the picture/colour quality has improved rather than for the aspect ratio. Slightly off topic but have just watched James Booth as David Essex's dad in That'll Be The Day on True Movies 2. Great film.

Did anyone get the new DVD version of this yet? I have the Studio Canal version and wonder if it's worth getting the newer one for the correct aspect ratio and additional content.
