In Luton, we woke up to a thinnish blanket Saturday morning but I still managed to get out for the morning and go out in the evening to Milton Keynes to see a band. Was snowing a bit when I left my house in the car at about 8 pm and then quietened down when I got to my mates house in rural Beds, and then he drove to Milton. Although when we left the pub at the end of the evening, about 11.30, it was settling and a bit iffy on the back roads, his Vauxhall Zafira did wobble and skid a little bit, but we were back safely. I managed to get on my front drive just about but had to approach it a different way as the sloping slip road I live on, one side was impossible to get up the hill.
Just hope its not too skiddy tomorrow morning for work. We were all fine until this morning where it started falling heavily. The news is making out that it's just Wales and the South West, but evidently you're all suffering! Stay safe tomorrow. Hope you haven't got too far to go!

I love seeing pics of snow as it's foreign to me. It does snow in some parts of Australia but no where near me.

It's pretty foreign to me, too, Bat Girl! I'm hoping it's not becoming a regular feature because it's a complete pain if you've got somewhere to be! Please send some of your sunshine to melt it away.

We've had a good covering of snow today here in Hampshire but the roads cleared enough to allow a safe drive to our parents in Surrey. However it did start again early evening and was again settling so there was a blanket of snow when I took the dog for his walk tonight just after midnight. It didn't seem cold enough though so it wouldn't surprise me if it had thawed a bit by morning. Nice pics Bolly, can't beat being out in the countryside. Sam.

Walking your dog after midnight?! Another one keeping bizarre hours! You need to learn to leave The Railway Arms before you’re kicked out. Ah if only it were; these were taken at a nature reserve about 200m from my front door. Between two main roads! But it des the job, and if you walk through it far enough you can get out into the countryside :) but it’s in the middle of a town, this bit! Any thawing action going on in Hyde, Sam? Or Hampshire, whichever you prefer. I’m off this week but by the sounds of it not many of my colleagues will be making it in today so that’s a bit annoying
