I used to think he was OK in small doses.
But in the true ITV way - find a celeb and give them way too much exposure and publicity and p*** about 70% of your audience off.

I don't actually dislike Keith Lemon, he's a guilty pleasure I suppose, I kind of find him funny.
One comic I never found funny was Tommy Cooper.

I found him irritating for some reason. Norman Wisdom was another one I didn't find funny at all.

A kind of family tradition of not liking comics who were quite big...
My Dad couldn't stand George Formby and my gran didn't like Charlie Chaplin. I remember her telling me about when the first cinema (called picture houses at that time) opened in Radcliffe just before or just after the first World War and one of the films was one of Chaplin's. Apparently the rest of the audience were enjoying it and she was sat there thinking it was crap!

I never liked Chaplin and in my opinion he was no where near the same league as Laurel & Hardy or Harold Lloyd.
Never liked Formby, Wisdom or Abbot & Costello either. I always find Will Hay far far better entertainment than any of these.
Gene.

Buster Keaton is my favourite of the ones from that era. He was very good. Some of his visual gags and stunt work were excellent. Tell you someone else who I thought was awful - Jerry Lewis.
