I'm in moan mode today. The media being dominated for the last two days by Kate Middleton altering a photo a bit. Aren't there other, actually important issues, to report on? I think it is a diabolical liberty that she should do such a thing, you'd never catch any of us on here doing anything like that. Sam.

You've got to be a complete and utter to do that! I didn't know we had an emoji for that, Sam. I wonder if I can nick it for work emails? I kept getting the parking photos appearing unsolicited in my FB feed until I started to block them. A sizeable amount of the examples are pathetic. I have sympathy for the van drivers. A courier stops to drop a parcel off and takes all of 30 seconds, but some merchant has to take a photo. Probably the same type of people who would complain if their parcel delivery was late.

Tell me about it, I have to park on yellows odd times when I'm running in and out on my rounds, fortunately I haven't got a ticket yet. Silly people with small minds and too much time on their hands

Tell me about it, I have to park on yellows odd times when I'm running in and out on my rounds, fortunately I haven't got a ticket yet. Silly people with small minds and too much time on their hands I regularly have to park on a double yellow when visiting Annie's parents' house. Well, not exactly on the double yellow as the pavement is wide enough for the whole car but I have to park there to get out to open the gates into the drive. Despite the car being fully on the pavement I regularly get people sounding their horns at me for briefly stopping there for less than a minute while I open the gates. They usually get a blast of the horn and a form of a wave back. Why are people so narrow-minded or self-centred that they feel they are more important than anyone trying to access a residential driveway? Sam.

Once again I'm getting calls from "Thomas" and "Daisy" of Virginmedia alerting me to the fact that they're getting lots of error reports and that I'm not getting my full internet speed.
I've put their names in speech marks because they are the quoted names despite the fact that they have very strong South Asian accents and I'm suspicious that they may be false names.
Anyway, "Thomas" today asked me about my internet router and what lights were flashing so I thought I'd string him along by asking what speeds I should be getting. It would appear that he saw through my strategy, called me a "Mother-F**ker" and then started to say things about my parents.
Needless to say my response was equally abusive telling him to F**k off, that he was a c**t, a worthless piece of sh*t, and that he should shove his phone up his arse.
It seems that he took offence by my response and put the phone down!
I suppose these people do get some success with their scam calls but his response didn't convince me that my internet connection was playing up.
Sam.

I had one a few years back using an email mimicking my boss, however I spotted it straightaway. He said he was in an meeting so could buy some gift vouchers and send pics of them to him for rewards for the sales team. I downloaded a pic of the barcode of a voucher from the internet, sent him that and strung him along for while.

I suppose these people do get some success with their scam calls but his response didn't convince me that my internet connection was playing up. I use such calls to perfect my Norman Collier impersonation, which incidentally is coming on really well. SCAMMER:- "Sir, I'm from Microsoft and your computer is reporting a serious virus which we can help you remove". ME:- "Oh thanks, I'm also having probs-.... the phone-...vicar said 'that's a f-.... big one....can't hear...put your fing-...in the socket..." PHONE DOWN.
Works for me and I'll be quids-in for a gig if they ever revive The Wheeltappers & Shunters on TV

I've used similar tactics with these too, lets say I wound one up a market research company (yeah right) and I claimed to be a researcher for BBC Watchdog once wanting to know what they're company was and how it 'benefited the customer experience!' (their spiel). It was absolutely hillarious the way I strung them along and used some other less subtle tactics on others too! SCAM OFF
