Losing the play off final on penalties. My lad has got into Stockport County and he's gone down to Wembley today to see them in the league 2 play off final against Carlisle, a 6.30 start to get the coach and about 80 quid on tickets and travel. He's on his way back, not happy😒 Oh bugger! Not a good day for him!

I don't like penalty shoot outs, I think it's a bad way to go out. County's problem was a long term injury to their top scorer, Kyle Wootton, after he was sidelined about 6 weeks ago their form suffered

I'm sure everyone else is getting silly amounts of spam emails but the latest mails I've been getting are laughable.
As I have an online shop my 'sales' email address has to be visible. Consequently I get inundated with emails for "affordable SEO services" from all sorts of people promising to get me to the top spot of Google rankings and to top of the list of Google searches for the items I have for sale.
For those unaware of 'SEO' it is "Search Engine Optimisation" meaning these people will review things like product metadata throughout the site and revise to improve or maximise the search results.
Anyway, the reason why the latest are beyond Room 101 and have become laughable is because of the people that they are from. Now I know that some actors and actresses may be 'between jobs' but over the past week I've received @gmail.com emails from Judi Dench, Tom Hardy, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Stephen Tompkinson and Emma Thompson all promising second-to-none SEO results in identical messages.
I'm just hoping that I'll also get one from John Simm.
Sam.

In my "other job", I get spam emails from AI companies offering the same service I do for real. Cheeky or what ? but over the past week I've received @gmail.com emails from Judi Dench, Tom Hardy, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Stephen Tompkinson and Emma Thompson all promising second-to-none SEO results in identical messages. To be fair, Sam - Stephen did wonders wonders for my SEO/Google rankings and promised to sort out any drunks hanging around outside the house too.

Manchester City council. I have complained about them before, and they seem to be getting worse if anything. It transpires that they've done some deal with Abu Dhabi based developers where they sold a lot of land in the city to them on the cheap, which is enabling them to flood the place with ugly overpriced blocks which are way out of the reach of locals who are being priced out of their own city.
Recently an 18th century listed building has been recommended for demolition as it's in the way of yet another glass eyesore. They know that they won't get voted out and use this to do what they want. Brown envelopes stuffed with cash springs to mind

At least when Rover in it's dying days revived MG for the 'Z' range in the early 2000's they had a good go at souping them up and making them a bit more special if perhaps they did it a too little too late and much better competition around for them in the end.
