I'm sure many of you who are fans of Library music used in some of your favourite retro TV & Film productions can think of a track from a particular show that you have never been able to identify. Yes?
Let's get the ball rolling with a question for the library specialists. Here is a track from an episode of Steptoe & Son called Porn Yesterday. The track comes in at 2:22 in this clip. Although there is very little to go on (it plays for 17 seconds) I'm sure someone may be able to identify it. Always puts me in mind of something used in Holiday On The Buses.
(The Saint will LOVE this clip)
Over to you...
Gene.

Great idea for a thread Gene. I don't recognise that track but I did recognise the one heard earlier when Albert switches on the radio, it's 'Back Breaker' by Johnny Hawkesworth from 'Group Sounds The Red Bricks' on Chappell Records. Ironic track title given that Albert is skiving whilst Harold is out at work. www.discogs.com/Red-Bricks-Group-Sounds/release/2900219

I asked Lord Thames about Steptoe (and the Dick Emery) but he doesn't now either unfortunately.

It is also on the Chappell album "Songs Of The 60's" in 2 different versions. Gene.

When i have made slideshows from the meet photos with library music, i upload them onto YouTube. Sometimes they then tell you that they have been claimed/monetised and give you the artist name of the piece concerned.
Worth a shot uploading it perhaps.

I'm looking at Jack Arel now as it is very much his style. Someone must know.....

It probably is Chappell as the other one is.
