Saw this film a few days ago,bit of a hidden gem of the 70's,Just wondering if anybody has seen this film & what they thought of it. Starring: Hedges Capers as Hillbilly John,Severn Darden as Mr.Murduke & Denver Pyle as Grandpappy John.

I haven't seen it Joe but I wondered where I'd heard the name Denver Pyle before. I had to look it up but thought I knew the name, it's uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazzard.

I've not heard of it but it sounds interesting. The same director made the controversial 'My Lover My Son' with Dennis Waterman.
Btw, as an Aussie what do you think of the obscure ( to people in the UK at least ) Australian film 'Money Movers'? I think it's one of the best films of its type I've seen & I wonder why it isn't better known.

I saw 'Stir' quite recently, very good prison film. 'Special Squad' was shown over here in the 80's, similar to The Sweeney I seem to remember. 'Top Mates' was shown here on Children's BBC in the 80's/90's. Sorry for going off topic.
