Brilliant photos Batgirl and thanks for sharing. That Falcon's looks a great beast and can't believe they go for $300k. Seems a good event too.

Thanks for posting these Batgirl Not only are the cars impressive but the architecture of the building is pretty impressive too! Choice of car for me would be the white BMW M1 Sam.

MOTORCLASSICA MELBOURNE 2017 October is by far my favourite time for car shows. The impressive Motorclassica is held at the Exhibitions Buildings in Melbourne. This annual show always features show stopper cars, celebrates milestones of motoring history, features a car auction by Mossgreen Auctions, Concours judging, interesting car artworks and stall exhibitors. Special exhibits this year included celebrating 70 years of Ferrari, 100 years of Holden Coachbuilding, 110 years of Lancia. The exhibits are inside and outside the building and totally different car clubs are featured every day in the outside area. People can buy 3 days of tickets and see different club exhibits. I love this idea but couldn’t commit to three days (maybe next year !). On Friday 60 cars drive through the city to arrive at the Exhibition buildings. The list of outside clubs on Saturday was Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lancia, Bolwell, Citroen, Japanese Motorcycles, Skylines, Cortina Mk I, Jaguar, Holden, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Morris, Studebaker, Mini and Austin. Sunday was Austin Healey, Porsche, Bentley, BMW, Chrysler, Skylines, Fiat, Jensen, Mercedes-Benz, Morris, Mustang, Porsche, Renault, Rover, Saab, Singer, Triumph. Luckily I visited on Saturday when 100 million dollars worth of Ferraris were on display. This was the star attraction of the auction. A 1955 Jaguar D-type XKD510 (estimate value AUD$7,000,000) I will add more to this tomorrow.

Thanks for posting these up Batgirl, looks like another great event and I'm looking forward to seeing more. The car that catches my eye and that I hope you have closer pictures of, is the white Jaguar XK120 to the left of the D-Type in the 14th picture. I do like the XK120 / XK140 in preference over the XK150 thanks to the split screen on them. Aahhh, if only... Sam

Thanks for posting this event up Batgirl. What a stunning collection of Ferraris. What glorious weather you have at this time of the year to photograph them too. I envy you there as the UK now slips into the depths of a cold winter.
That 1955 Jaguar D Type is something to behold, though I think with that kind of wonga I'd extend my collection rather than plough it all into one motor.
Excellent photos - keep them coming!
Gene.

Looks like a great event Batgirl and also nice to see somewhere in Melbourne I've been before too. Got to admit I'm a bit biased towards the Prancing Horse in these pics but everything looks great here. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to some more pics too.

Fabulous looking show!! I particularly like older pre 1970 Ferraris, I think the maroon 60's model is a 330GTC

It is a great venue for a car show Dirty Epic. Sounds like you've done quite a bit of travelling.
