First rule of the meet is to totally disregard the advice of the Fletcher brothers from Get Carter... ''they won't take kindly to you poking your bugle in.... we don't want you to go up the north Jack''

I was looking at the Premier Inn website earlier this evening, and it's a lot cheaper than London to stay overnight in Newcastle. I must say it got me into the mood a bit, and I'm starting to look forward to it already. I'm really glad about the response so far. It will be a nice change for everybody.
The staff on 4:3tv have been doing a bit of research into accommodation in Newcastle and have booked in for both the Saturday and Sunday nights. We are in the Premier Inn Quayside, which is ideally placed for the start of the Meet on Sunday morning - Right next to the Tyne Bridge no less!
A few details for those who wish to stay overnight on the Saturday or Sunday, or indeed both nights.
Premier Inn Newcastle Quayside Hotel The Quayside Lombard Street Tyne & Wear NE1 3AE
It is relatively (compared to London) cheap at ± £90 per room for two nights. Parking is limited and an extra £7 per night which is quite cheap too. NOTE: You'll need to call the hotel to book a place on the car park as soon as possible to avoid missing out on the limited spaces available.
Can those of you who make a booking flag it up on here so I can keep tabs on the squad list. Likewise those who are driving. It's more important than ever that we know where we are with available seats so let us know as soon as possible if you are driving.
I have updated the 1st post on page 1 of this thread to indicate the details I have from those registered so far. If there is a red question mark (?) in your column then please let me have the required details at the earliest opportunity.
