To give others an idea on prices, I've just checked from King's Cross to Newcastle booked three months in advance is £58 return and the Premier Inn on Newcastle Quayside is £67 booked in advance.
No doubt others can find cheaper accommodation but that is my starter to help.

Sam. Thanks for the information Sam. I'd be quite happy with paying that for a night at the Premier Inn. I think Gene said to hang fire for the time being with booking things, but that sounds pretty reasonable to me. I'm starting to look forward to it already. Charles.

Things are looking good at the moment regarding people/seats available.
Gene Hunt - Driving (2 seats) The Saint - Driving (4 seats) Steve Austin - Driving (4 seats) Charles Bronson - Driving (4 seats) Sam Tyler Del Boy Vienna Dirty Epic Windy Miller John Steed Brown Granada
That's 14 seats and 11 people.
The onus really is on the drivers here more than at any previous Meet. Failure to show would be a disaster for everyone. If you all want to see the BEST locations up there, we need the cars. It is not a huge amount of driving but the locations are spread out.
I think by the first week of January, I should have a clear picture of who is attending. If the figures stack up and everyone can be catered for in cars, then I think you are safe to go ahead and book your accommodation. That said, if you really want to go ahead and get the booking out of the way, feel free to do so.
Worst case scenario is that we are dropped in it by a driver not showing on the day. In this case, I can conduct a Meet on foot around central Newcastle. There are some great locations here, if not the best ones.
Gene.

I might make like Ally Fraser and fly to Newcastle International. Why is that, will Raquel be needing the Capri Ghia? Sam.

Count me in for this one please Gene. I'll be a driver for this event, but i'm not going to Terry Collier's flat as i've just had four new wheels and a re-spray. Seriously though, this sounds like a great meet. Great news Peter - Brilliant to have you aboard again! I'll add you to the list mate Gene.
