Another great one-hit wonder; this one is from 1987.

Great post moggy
That's just one of the many things I like about this forum, blasts from past like that!
I remember that from years back but didn't know who it was or what it was called. I'd often have it going through my head as well and wondered how I'd get to find out.
Now you've answered the question for me!
There'll be a saucer of gold top for you in The Railway Arms.

No worries Sam I remember trying to look for it on a compilation CD a few years ago. Eventually I found it on 'eighties - the only way is up', a 3 CD set. Vienna

That song reminds me of this, not a one hit wonder technically speaking but the only track of theirs to really trouble the charts.

Directed by Ade Edmondson according to the youtube comments. I seem to remember that now, they are reminiscent of Bad News & the singer is similar to Rik Mayall's Lord Flasheart character.

Another of Vienna's favourites - this one is from 1986 - and a US No.1. It made No.15 in the UK singles chart.

I'm not a music aficionado but Tenpole Tudor with Swords of a thousand men; were they one hit wonders?? I still sing along to that when it's on the radio; also remember Jimmy the Hoover mentioned at the top of the thread though I didn't buy it at the time. I'll also throw in Wonderdog with Ruff Mix; definitely a one hit wonder in the eighties & I was probably the only one that bought the single

Blimey! I haven't heard that for ages. I have got it on 7" vinyl though!
