Often I see a car that isn't an old classic but it's worthy of discussion. It may be that I see an extraordinary number of them commonly on the road, the newest most popular by everyone all of sudden or super expensive new cars. Two Lamborghinis seen over the course of two days. They're not that common !

Took a while, but I knew I'd find more for this thread. A 2016 Ford Falcon FG-X ute. Clearly not an old classic BUT as it is one of the last Ford Falcon utes manufactured in Australia, worthy of a mention and possibly a classic of the future.

Nice finds Batgirl. Keep them coming!
I'm in New York right now and haven't spotted a car worth mentioning yet! They all look the same!

Thanks for posting Batgirl I do like those Utes, they're what a proper 'pickup' should look like. The closest we had to that was the Sierra (and Cortina) based P100s but they look primitive in comparison and didn't have the benefit of a nice big V8! I wonder if many have been imported over here... Sam.

Yeah thanks for posting BG and I'm sad to see the Falcon bow out too. Prefer the saloons more than the Ute's but they're definitely better than any of the Euro pick ups we have. A few Aussie Ute's have made it over here I've seen a Falcon one on the M62 motorway near Warrington once and of all places a red Holden Commodore Ute in Hull too... Just out of interest Batgirl are Ford replacing it with the Ranger in Aus?

I think you are right about that Dirty Epic. The Ford Ranger is heavily promoted now.

Don't know that much about Australian cars, their classic period stuff (50s to early 80s) seemed to be a combination of British and American. Holden was an Australian division of General Motors, and Aussie Fords and Chryslers were variations on American ones.
BMC, later British Leyland, exported to Australia and there were some locally made cars which were, again, variations on the British ones, I remember an Austin Lancer and Morris Major which were based on the Riley 1.5 and Wolseley 1500. Later, they did a big saloon called the P76

Shame BL never thought about making the P76 or a variant of it for the UK seemed as good as anything they did churn out of Longbridge etc back then. Also the 'Force' P76 coupe was a nice piece of steel which daft enough never got beyond 10 prototypes? Ah BL eh?

I saw two Ferraris while driving into town a few weeks ago. Now two (that were obviously driving together) is a rarity !
