Top games from this era for me:
1. Space Invaders 2. Phoenix 3. Scramble
Regularly remember being out in music pubs / clubs in London.
Everyone was crowded round Space Invaders as the best players showed their expertise.
Clearing sheet after sheet.

The Super Cobra game above is more or less the same as Scramble. I always think of this when Space Invaders is mentioned-

Arthur Daley on Space Invaders Scramble, yes I do remember that now. Every so often you had to get a fuel top up or you were destined for the rocks

Used to go regularly to a snooker club in the late 70s / early 80s.
Main games that were popular there were:
- Defender (recall this was a favourite of Steve Davis)
- Asteroids
- Pacman
Still preferred Phoenix - reaching the spaceship was the goal!
