I hope you all have a great time at the meet, sounds like Gene has a brilliant day organised. Sorry I can't join you, maybe next time.... Rupert, I'm going, so I hope you don't mind Vi

Time for another update and reminder for all for the meeting point for the third 4:3TV Retro Channel meet.
>>> UPDATE <<< I've rechecked the TfL sites for updates and the planned closures have been revised for additional works on the London Overground and an adjustment to the District Line closure so:
Location Here's where we all need to meet up on Sunday 30th October at 9am:
As you can see we shall meet at the north end of Colet Gardens at the junction with Hammersmith Road.
Public Transport For those of you coming by London Underground / Overground the nearest stations are Baron's Court, Kensington Olympia (Overground only), and the two Hammersmith stations. There are also toilets at Kensington Olympia for those that need a Gypsy's Kiss before proceedings start.
Transport For London Status Update TfL planned maintenance and closures are summarised below:
CIRCLE LINE: No service between Hammersmith or High Street Kensington and Baker Street. Train services are revised to operate between High Street Kensington and Baker Street (via Aldgate) and between High Street Kensington and Barking (via Victoria).
DISTRICT LINE: No service between High Street Kensington Earls Court and Edgware Road, or between Earl's Court and Kensington Olympia.
HAMMERSMITH & CITY LINE: No service between Hammersmith and Baker Street.
LONDON OVERGROUND: No service between Gospel Oak and Barking to help prepare the line for electrification. No service between Willesden Junction and Camden Road until 11:30. No service between Romford and Upminster. TfL RAIL:
No service Liverpool Street to Shenfield due to planned engineering works. Every Sunday until 0800, buses replace trains between Shenfield and Ilford, due to Network Rail track works.
WATERLOO AND CITY LINE: Does not operate on Sundays.
Although not listed as a closure, the map shows a section of the Bakerloo Line between Kensal Green and Queen's Park to be closed. This could scupper our back-up route to Warwick Avenue (London Overground from Olympia to Willesden Junction, Bakerloo from Willesden Junction to Warwick Avenue). At the moment our first choice route to Warwick Avenue (Picc Line from Baron's Court to Piccadilly Circus, Bakerloo from Piccadilly Circus to Warwick Avenue) looks to be unaffected.
Despite previous concerns there are no planned station closures that will affect our intended routes but as ever I will keep monitoring...
Sam.

Thanks for your latest update Sam. I will be travelling from Russel Square, so I can get the Piccadilly Line direct to Hammersmith. This seems to running normally if I've read your update properly. I only realised not so long ago, that I can travel direct to The meeting up point from Russel Square. I stay in Bloomsbury quite often prior to the meets, and I used to walk up to Euston Square underground and get the train from there. Charles.

Well I'd loved to have put my name down CB, but sadly I'll be working through Saturday night into Sunday morning so there's no way I can do it this time around. I'll be sat in my loco cab on a ballast job in the middle of nowhere, drinking tea and reading an educational pamphlet on Jensen Interceptors while you lot are living it up down the Smoke! Villain
