Watching the 1973 Christmas edition of Steptoe and Son, Albert puts a hat on the skeleton & a cigar in its mouth & says "there you are, John Gregson". I wasn't sure what he meant by that so I looked at Gregson's imdb page & it mentions that he appeared in tv ads for Hamlet cigars. And this is why I like your posts Arthur, keep it up mate

Thanks Vi. Glad to hear that. It's a pity John Gregson died so young. About ten years after he made Gideons Way. I like John in the old British films. He left a young family when he died. Charles. Yes Charles, very sad. He was only 55 when he died of a heart attack whilst out walking on a Somerset footpath in 1975. Vi
