There should be loads I would have thought! Yes me for one and have all the eps on DVD. Despite not watching them for some time I can still remember plenty of dialogue! Started by collecting all the video tapes entirely from 1999.
I never saw it first time round but can remember the later episodes being advertised when new, and earlier ones being repeated.
Maybe the acting wasn't quite the same as the standard of the Sweeney but the action was superb! Anyone else have anything to add to spark off some topics?

Bob Rocca wrote a fantastic guide to the whole series a few years ago. If you still haven't bought a copy yet, it's a must-read for all fans of the show, including interviews, rare photos, production notes etc.

I have that book too, highly recommended and I believe a reprinted edition is out eventually with colour photos but nothing yet on a release date. The definitive eps were once Ford got involved and supplied them with as many cars as they needed and we saw them mostly using Capris and the RS2000! British Leyland cars were used in the first 6 episodes filmed but BL kept wanting them back after a days filming and couldn't always supply the same ones back for continuity which caused problems so they went over to ask Ford - the rest is history!

I'm a big fan of the series. I have great memories of watching it on 9.00PM saturday night on ITV. I'm very glad that Network restored this series. I'd go as far as saying it's their best work to date.

I have never found The Pro's as essential viewing as The Sweeney, but I do have a big interest in the programme, and I will defo look out for the book, and also get round to buying the series on DVD.Never been into it as much as The Sweeney. It all seems a bit political to me,and the acting is a bit suspect in places. But I do remember it as being a huge hit when I was at school, and that would have been second generation Pros' fans, too. As Gerry says, the action is undeniable, and the characters are very memorable.Shame Martin Shaw seems embarrassed by it nowdays,no need to be really.Surely it was the series that gave him his big break? It was a big hit at the time, wasn't it?

I'd go as far as saying it's their best work to date. I agree Del, I am working my way through the blu-rays at the moment, the restoration quality is amazing! Even though I have seen each episode on TV/old DVDs several times previously, it is a new viewing experience seeing the episodes on blu-ray. I'm a fan of the shows. Numerous screengrabs from the dvds still fill a few albums in photo-bucket. Unfortunately not the quality of the bluray that is now available. I have series 1 on bluray but ( ) I still haven't watched them all yet. Do love Lewis Collins as Bodie though. Bob Rocca's Professionals book was very useful when I went to England as an easy guide to visit a few locations.

Nice one Saint for starting the thread up. I know the Pro's can be like Marmite for some on here but I quite like it and am a fan too and it's one I (just) about got around to seeing first time around. There's so much that can be discussed here too, perhaps the thread can evolve into something similar like The Sweeney section.
