BAP 245B has to be one of the most famous cars in British TV history having appeared in many ITC programmes in the 1960s. It's most famous appearances were of course as Jennie Hopkirk's car in Randall and Hopkirk Deceased. In the series BAP was originally own'd by Marty Hopkirk but was passed to his widow Jennie after his untimely death. It's is infrequently used by Marty's partner Geoff Randall when his own Vauxhall was in the garage for repair. I first became aware that BAP still existed over 20 years ago when this article was published in Miniworld magazine and I've been fascinated with it since. The last I heard of BAP was that it was being restored, somewhere in Somerset but I'm not sure if it is privately owned or in a museum collection. A few screenshots Randall & Hopkirk Deceased Department S The Persuaders According to the Miniworld article, BAP has also appeared in The Baron, The Protectors and Man in a Suitcase so I'll have to break out the box sets

Very interesting read Ministrone. I am a fan of Randall & Hopkirk Deceased, ITC certainly got their moneys worth out of that Mini.

If you look again at the 'R&HD' dvds you can see that dear old 'BAP...' went through a few detail changes in some episodes, in some it has wing mirrors while in others they're absent, likewise the white rubber bumper overider covers. In at least one episode another Tartan Red Mk1 Mini was used in 'BAP's place with the numberplates obscured slightly. Sadly John Kelly, the chap who first restored the car in the '90s is no longer with us. An expert Mini restorer, he also restored the Mk1 Radford Cooper S used in the 'Adam Adamant' series starring Gerald Harper and Juliet Harmer. Villain

Aye that's the one Ministrone . I've got some screen grabs lined up from the series plus some photos of 'AA1000' which I've taken at various Mini shows, I'll load them soon. Villain

I saw this Mini at Bicester Heritage Wings and Wheels earlier in the year so definitely restored and looking great. I will post a smudge of it when I find it. Looking at MOT history held looks like it was back on the road from 2015 too.
