This grim and gritty action thriller pits two friends, one a policeman and one a criminal, against each other in this early 1970's examination of the relationship between players on both sides of the law.
Joe, Sue and Barry (guests at a wedding reception) meet as strangers but soon become boisterous friends. Barry doesn't know that Joe is a policeman and Joe doesn't know that Barry is planning a robbery, but it soon become obvious that they come from two very different worlds. The only thing that they have in common is Sue, but it becomes clear that she prefers the quiet, shy Joe to the flash Barry.... and takes him home. But Joe is married, and when he goes home to his wife and child in a fit of guilt, Sue becomes disillusioned and turns to Barry. It is not long before Sue is aware of Barry's plan to hijack a cigarette transporter from a local warehouse, and sees the tension begin to take it's toll on him.
Joe is played by Martin Potter, Barry is played by Nicky Henson and Sue is played by Julia Foster. Guest appearances include Glynn Edwards, Ian Hendry, David Essex and Queenie Watts.

Sounds interesting Mr Steed BTW is there a DVD of it knocking around? £6 from Network networkonair.com/shop/458-all-coppers-are.htmlI was disappointed by it, it was directed by Sidney Hayers & produced by Carry On's Peter Rogers so it has a rather old fashioned approach imo despite its provocative title, still it's got good locations & a good cast. Eric Rogers ( best known for the Carry Ons ) music never seems appropriate to the non Carry On films he's scored. Not sure about Julia Foster, something a bit mumsy about her. Btw, did you know that she's posh bloke Ben Fogle's mother?

Yes I knew that, Arthur. In the Seventies she (Julia Foster) was also in a popular light-hearted mystery series called Wilde Alliance. This was about a husband and wife who are amateur detectives.
