Actress Grace Vance, who plays Molly Drake is known to faint at the sight of blood, had to avoid being in the same place at the same time as 4:3tv member Mason Kayne (6620) during filming of Ashes To Ashes due to the extent and realism of the makeup Mason wore in his role as the young Gene Hunt.

It did look very real so I imagine in real life it would be rather surreal to see. Grace Vance who played Molly Drake was a wonderful choice for the role of Alex's daughter. The beginning of Ashes to Ashes filmed in such a public area showed such tension and drama. Possibly one of the most gripping beginnings I've seen for a tv series.

I asked Matthew Graham, Screenwriter and co creator of Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes why we hadn't had a Blu Ray release of Ashes To Ashes. His reply was "No idea. I'd like to say it's because Blu Ray wasn't invented in 1983 but that doesn't explain a darn thing."

Blu Ray ?
Steady on Guv', I've never been involved in any of that caper.
I know Sam had some interesting photos taken with Joni from The Warren back in 1973 though....

Yes, and Annie is all to keen to remind me about walking in to my room and finding me tied up and (to quote Chris) in Alicante!

Today is six years ago to the day that the final episode of Ashes To Ashes was broadcast: 21st May 2010. Where have those years gone? Sam.

Indeed it has. Amazing!
I think I'll give the complete 3 series another watch over the next few weeks.

Bless her, I certainly didn't know that. I suffer with the same affliction - sight/thought/story about blood and I'm on the floor. I'd never really thought of it as an occupational hazard in acting, though!
