I created that this morning. Thought it would be a nice aesthetic upgrade as we are nearing 4:3tv's 2nd Birthday. I've also implemented a change to peoples profiles which are displayed to the left of their posts. If anyone has filled in the social media links on their personal profile pages, they will now have the relative buttons displayed at the foot of their profile. This will also help with promotion of the forum. At the moment the changes are only available with the GH A2A Stars theme. If enough people like them I'll roll it out onto all themes. Thanks Steve I've now added the updates to all themes. I have also created a new theme called "Purple Haze Pro" which at the moment is still in the beta test phase. I have made it accessible to all members so if anyone wants to try it out and make constructive suggestions for improvements (not just "I don't like it") then feel free to do let me know. It will look different from one members screen to another so these themes are a guessing game and your input will be appreciated. The new theme can be selected to try it out by clicking on the "Profile" button across the top of the main page, then click the "Edit Profile" tab, and finally the "Settings" tab. Part way down the page you will then see a "Forum Theme" drop down box where you can select the desired theme. If you don't like the new Purple Haze Pro theme at all, it is easy to follow the above steps and choose another, or revert to the original "GH Purple" theme. Gene. I gave it a go Gene but I prefer the A2A Stars theme as there is a better contrast between background and text for my bionic eye. I couldn't see the "Home" button at the bottom of the settings page when I had this theme. Hope this feedback helps.

I had missed putting in the HTML code section for placing the Home button on all pages in the Purple Haze Pro theme. It is there now. Thanks for that Any other suggestions are welcome. Gene.

The new banner is great, a lot neater & professional looking. I think I might prefer the Purple Haze Pro as a dark background seems to be easier on my eyes.

Thanks for that I too like the contrast of the lighter text on a dark background. I think others may well feel the same so it is good to have the light on dark & dark on light contrast themes. Something for everyone. Glad you like the new banner too. It is clearer than the old banner and incorporates the main subject matter of 4:3tv - TV, Music & Motors. UPDATE: I've just made a visual improvement to the Purple Haze Pro theme. When you have a New post in a thread, previously the "New" badge at the start of the thread was the same colour as the background (Purple) so was difficult to spot. I've now made this HiViz green so it really stands out. Again, open to suggestions from members for improvements / changes. Gene.

I've just been on my profile page, but apparently I have to go on the non mobile version to make any changes, so I will have a look later. I'm very glad to see the continuing improvement in the forum.
Charles.

Yes. The mobile version of the forum is something I shall be glad to see binned when Version 6 of the forum software is unveiled in the not too distant future. Then there will be just the full version regardless of what device you are visiting from. In the meantime Charles, If you are viewing on your phone, you can scroll to the bottom of the page and in the bottom right hand corner, you'll see a button labelled "Desktop". If you click on that you will bring up the full version of the forum Gene.

Thanks. Gene I will look for that button now. Cheers. Charles Don't forget to update your profile too by filling in the social media sections - Profile/Edit Profile/Social. Then you'll get the link buttons under your profile on the left of your posts (like mine) Gene.

Hi Gene I can't seem to Get that Facebook link right. When I put my username in the relevant place in the box I test the link and can't seem to get through on the test link. My username is Chas. I've tried that various ways without success. Not to worry I'm sure I'll get there in the end, I might leave it till tomorrow now. If I need it I will ask for some help tomorrow probably by PM.
Charles.

Charles From your homepage you need to take the URL for your account rather than your name. Having just viewed it myself you will need to add the following (without the speech marks) into the Faecesbook box: "profile.php?id=100013289535749" Once you've inserted that and saved the profile update you should be hunky-dory. Sam.
