Charles, I'd like to echo Gene's comments in thanking you for posting your thoughts on here.
It has been interesting to follow your train of thoughts right up to the last episode and I know that for me the feelings were very much the same. Punch Keats' lights out, get it on with Alex, and so on, I'm sure we're not the only one's to experience those feelings and the trepidation approaching the last episode.
Daniel Mays though, I find to be a very good actor. Seeing him in a number of other productions: The Bank Job (how many stars from A2A in that!), Mrs Biggs, and Line Of Duty, I've always appreciated his acting.
As for another series with John Simm? Who could complain about that?
Sam.

Thanks Sam. I was surprised to discover how many other things Daniel Mays has been in. I'd never noticed him before. He obviously didn't have a popular role in A2A of course, and thats probably why I disliked him. I will definately look out for him in other productions.
I wonder how things would have worked out in the storyline if John Simms had taken part the follow up series. He was fantastic in Life On Mars? Alex Drake was great, and lovely to look at, but it's a pity John's character wasn't there among the team. If they announce another series, it will be a happy day, thats for sure.
Charles.

I don't know if you've heard Gene, but Phillip Glenister is in a programme next Sunday evening on Channel 4 at 8pm. It's called "The Lost Lotus, Restoring A Racing Car." (Pity It's not the Quattro.) I trust it's not a repeat.
