He's well genned up on motors though. I mean, he knows that Lexus is the Japanese Mercedes! He confirmed it in his conversation with Michael the work Geordie in the petrol station. Lexus = Similar to a Mercedes only with great reliability! :D The Saint I would have to say this is true. Mercedes lost their famed reputation a long time ago, and the cars from aprx late 90's to 05 ish rusted quite badly which was amazing considering more basic marques had solved that problem by then.

You're quite safe with a Merc. They've sorted the issues with lapsed standards that they had about 10-15 years ago. Back on form now.

Yes you're quite right, there was a period where standards lapsed. I don't recall any merc's from about 10 year ago suffering the same issues. All cars have their gremlins but rust on expensive motors in modern times is unbelievable . Back on topic now How would partridge interview Steve Coogan when he turns up to do a lap. They would have to film each part separately and stitch it together

Well, according to the Torygraph Clarkson is due for the tin tack.
Can TG carry on? Would you still watch if he was replaced with, say, Chris Evans?

Yes he's been given the Spanish Archer.
It had to happen, he can't go around trying to punch people's lights out and expect to stay on. As it stated on the BBC page that dirtyepic posted above, "There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations"
Sam.
