Registration
A register will be compiled of attendees, drivers, back up drivers and those who are having a meal.
please include this information in your post when registering.
Registering for others is not allowed. Posting on the thread is the only way to register for the meet.
We regret that we can no longer accommodate non member guests on the meets.
This is due to the popularity of these meets which usually reach maximum numbers of forum members.
In the event that we don't achieve a full register then staff will announce that guests will be permitted.
They will then be added to the register alongside the forum member.
New members will be asked to provide a mobile telephone number in advance of their first meet.
Drivers
Drivers will be contacted by Del Boy nearer the time of the meet to discuss seating arrangements for squad members.
This will ensure everyone knows what they are doing on the day and so that no driver ends up with any more
punters in their car than is desirable, and that no passenger gets left behind.
It is essential that once arranged, the numbers allocated to each car must be adhered to.
Our drivers have reported that they do not want any last minute changes and more specifically, any additions.
For contingency purposes we always like to have a couple of back up drivers for the day.
On a few occasions they have been needed.
Please let us know when you register if you can fulfil this role.
Passengers
Passengers please note that the allocation of available seats agreed with our drivers will be allocated
on a first to register basis.
Please remember that the cost of fuel is high and there may be other expenses such as parking.
It is expected of PASSENGERS to offer their driver a fair contribution towards these costs (minimum £5).
It is preferable that this be arranged with your driver BEFORE the meet commences during the Meet and Greet.
We advise all drivers that if they receive no such offer from a member that they should inform any of the 4:3tv
staff as soon as possible.
Remember our drivers are an essential part of the meets. We should all be grateful to them
Directions
Its important to note that NO PRINTED MAPS AND DIRECTIONS WILL BE GIVEN OUT.
When the itinerary is produced it will include all the of the postcodes and street names needed for the meet to use
with sat-nav /mobile phone navigation.
It is vitally important that at least two persons per car program the postcodes into their sat -nav/phones BEFORE
the meet.
This will ensure there will be no issues for our drivers to be able to get to the locations.
Evening Meal
The reasons why we ask everyone to dine at a set time needs clarifying after confusion at previous meets.
The numbers attending the evening meal are communicated by us to the venue before we attend on the day.
They ask us to do this so they can reserve seating for us and so they can arrange to have enough staff to serve
our large group of people dining at the same time.
If you no longer wish to dine with us please let us know at the earliest opportunity so we can advise the venue.
People who wish to order their meal before the main group can do so if they prefer or need to.
If you do wish to eat earlier then we kindly ask you to make use of the non reserved side of the venue to do this.
Those who are dining together will get priority on the allocated tables to eat their meal at the set time.
NOW, A LITTLE ABOUT THE ITINERARY FOR THE DAY
As this is a NON-SWEENEY MEET, it will obviously be a change to the normal procedure for the day for us all.
The whole event will be based in the WINDSOR area.
A MAP OF THE MEETING POINT / PARKING WILL BE POSTED ON HERE IN DUE COURSE.
Those travelling in by car can park at the King Edward VII Avenue car park. Those not driving for the Meet can leave their car here for the day. All day parking from 09:00 to 19:00 is £5.00 and evening parking from 19:00 onwards is £1.50.
Those wishing to join me & Sam for breakfast should meet us at The King & Castle Wetherspoons 15-16, Thames Street Windsor at 8.30am
Everyone else will then meet at Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, Datchet Road, Windsor at 9.30 - 10am for a 10.30am start.
The Locations.
Carry On Doctor - Long Hampton Hospital (Also University of Kidburn in Carry On Behind)
Carry On Camping - Sid & Bernie buy the camping gear.
Carry On Various - (Park and walkabout for 45 mins) See the various houses used in Camping / Convenience / Cabby / Behind etc and a short walk to see the South entrance to Pinewood Studios as seen in Screaming etc.
Drive back into Windsor and park up for pub lunch in town.
After lunch, there will be another walk around Windsor to see various other Carry On locations nearby before returning to Windsor & Eton Riverside Station and having our evening meal in The Royal Oak (as seen in Carry On Cabby).
Those wishing to stay nearby in Windsor on the Saturday night should make their own accommodation arrangements. There are plenty of places to stay, including the Travelodge Windsor Central in King Edward Court, and the Holiday Inn Express in Alma Road. Both are very convenient for the Meeting point on Sunday.
Those who are coming in by train from London - There are trains from Waterloo direct to Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, which take around 1hr 10 mins (one leaves Waterloo at 8am). Remember though, you will have to same journey back at the end of the day if you are staying in London.
