I'm off to this annual event tomorrow so thought I'd post it up here to see if anyone else is thinking of attending. I went to the event this year and was amazed by how many classics there were of all vintages. I'd never seen the whole site so packed out with cars, there were well over a thousand with all sorts of car clubs in attendance.
Full details are available here: >>> New Year Gathering <<<
And to quote:
I'll be taking plenty of smudges and will post some up here over the weekend.

Cheers PP, yes the weather stayed good throughout the day so with a bumper 224 photos taken during the day there's plenty of filtering out the wheat from the chaff for me to do but certainly more photos will follow.
Good also to see fellow member D.C. Burtonshaw at the event to whom I must apologise for not staying to chat for long as I was already running late for a family get-together.
So the first smudges to be getting on with:

Fantastic collection of smudges there Sam, thanks for posting them Such a nice mix too - the BMW 2002 and 3.0CSl stood out to me, I've been watching a lot of '70s Euro crime flicks recently and cars like those turn up in most of them. The chap who did all the work on my Jag last year has a pair of 3.0CSl's in his workshop waiting to be restored, even in bare shell form they look very handsome machines with their thin window pillars etc. The blue Jensen is gorgeous and it's funny how the white Mk1 Grannie almost dwarfs the Porsche 911 parked beside it...! Great pics Sam, pleased that the weather stayed dry as there is nothing worse than hawking around in the cold and rain. I especially like the pics of the Hillmans, my uncle used to rally a white one back in the 70s.
I like that they're all different and unique and not like todays generic jelly moulds.
Look forward to seeing the rest.
