Amazing all of those top stars getting involved in the campaign like that. Looking at the state of many of our towns and cities these days, and also our filthy roadside verges, we need a major campaign like those stars were involved in back in the 70s to promote the cleaning up of litter in the UK today.

I've seen that a few times, also fly tipping. It makes me feel like going around to their house with a couple of binloads of rubbish and empying it in their living rooms. If I was hard enough that is, Ha, ha. Charles.

I noticed this video on YouTube during the week, a short interview with Harry and Wilfred. They seem to have a good relationship here. Also Wilfred seems much more of a cheerful bloke than I'd imagined.

Very interesting Charles, thanks for posting Agree about Wilfrid, but maybe it's because he had a drink at the party The Saint

I always thought Wilfred Brambell was a touch miserable...heaven knows why.I think I may have got that from Bill Owen being a right old misery.I remember seeing him being interviewed once on a chat show and he came across as being absolutely miserable and pompous.I think I may be mixing up Wilfred Brambell in there as the two of them played ageing scruffs on TV.

He was very clean though

The drink was an issue with Wilfrid. It was one of the few things that irritated Harry as it led to Wilfrid being unable to remember his lines sometimes.
I've seen that clip above a few times and as you can see, in reality he was far removed from the character he was playing.

Lovely clip. Other than being a bit merry from drink, I expect Wilfrid enjoyed showing off his hampsteads to the viewing public used to seeing his rotten false teeth. In the few photos I've seen of him as himself he looked like a man who cared about his appearance.

Very interesting, not seen that clip and nice to hear them chat informally as they were really were about the series they are in. I'm guessing that's Galton and Simpson near the end, interesting to hear their side of things too.
