By this I don't mean obvious dreck like Robson and Jerome or Jive Bunny or whatever, but artists who are popular and have a fan base but you just don't get. Can be any era, from the 60s up to date.
Heres a few of mine, may have mentioned them previously on other threads:
The Beatles, controversial choice I know, and Im not saying theyre bad at all, cant do, but somehow I never got into them
The Police, never liked them, possibly because in about 79 when they started, a pub in Manchester I used to go in had them on the juke box virtually non stop, drove me mad!
The Eurythmics, don't know why, just don't like them
Phil Collins, in my opinion bland
UB40, never got them at all
Maria Carey, awful in my opinion, ditto Whitney Houston
Probably more to come...

I can't stand Queen. I know they are a massively popular band but just not for me.

You've opened a right can of worms there, good idea though. So to start with and for no particular reason other than I just plain don't like 'em: Fleetwood Mac (not Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, they're great) Wet, Wet, Wet Spandau Ballet U2 The Associates Flock of Seagulls Any boyband Starsailor Coldplay after their second album Elbow Franz Ferdinand Florence and The Machine There will be more, my hatred knows no bounds but my memory does

I think a lot of it has to do with familiarity breeding contempt, bands like The Beatles & U2 & singers like Sinatra & Elvis are more like commodities than artists. I saw Toyah on The One Show yesterday, now she was a feeble act! Whilst I'm bashing her she was an awful actress as well. She's married to Robert Fripp whose music couldn't be more different. Not that I know much about modern music, the fellow from the brewery sorts all that out.

Good shout on Wet Wet Wet, with the exception of Love is all around, that one I liked, nothing else they did was any good though.Thought of another couple:
Simply Red, again with one exception, Fairground
Pink Floyd. To be fair Ive not really listened to that much of their stuff, mainly remember Another Brick in the Wall from Christmas 79 which I hated then, and still do!
Miley Cyrus. Cant sing, tries to compensate by being rude but I don't think shes even much good at that

Hmm. So many could make this list for me but I suppose the stuff I like would make your lists too but here it goes and no disrespect to anyone who likes these acts Justin Beiber Miley Cirus Taylor Swift Kaiser Chiefs Nicole Sherzinger – (dosy hole) Rhianna Phil Collins/Genesis Usher Olly Murs Paul McCartney/Ringo Franz Ferdinand Beyonce Rudimental Calvin Harris Adelle Black Eyed Peas Bruno Mars Billy Joel Paloma Faith Ke$ha Eurthymics Roy Orbison Erasure (never really got em?) Munford and Sons Rita Ora Boyzone and derivatives Abba Wet Wet Wet Maroon 5 Ellie Goulding Elton John Sam Smith Major Lazer Keane Ella Eyre Lighthouse (or shitehouse) Family Fairground Attraction (shite!) Bob Geldoff Muse (borderline) Bee Gees Sting Snow Patrol Lilly Allen Deacon Blue Kasabian (borderline) Katy B Mark Ronson Pitbull P Diddy Meatloaf Simply Red (perhaps excluding one or two of their tracks) Kings of Leon Nicki Minaj David Guetta Clean Bandit Spinless Britpop acts like Elastica/Sleeper etc. etc. Most Glam Rock with the exception of Roxy Music/Marc Bolan! Kanye West Jess Glynne Cock rock like Kiss/Bon Jovi/Poison etc. FFS! U2 and that ****ing hypocrite Bono **** OFF! Oasis – **** poor Beatles cover band and sell outs! Most R&B and ‘Gangsta’ rap acts like Jay-Z, Eminem etc. And all the acts created by rats like Simon Cowell X-Factor/The Voice etc. and those not mentioned who are cosy puppets of the music biz! Suppose it's the age old music of another generation I'm not liking here and perhaps this video by Mylo sum's it up perfectly!

Dont hold back there Dirty Epic I forgot about Muse, they're just awful. Kasabian get my vote too but only after their debut album. There is no better feeling than venting your spleen and telling the world it's all crap Love it!!

I agree with most of your list Dirty Epic, although I must admit to a fondness for Abba and also for Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift ? He likes a swift tail as well from what I've been told.
Can't stand U2, Elvis, The Righteous Brothers, nor a whole chunk of what is on Dirty's list.
Gene.
