As with most people today, it was shocking and very sad to wake up to the news this morning of his passing. A legend who has gone but his music will live on. RIP David Bowie Vienna

Shocked. It's so sad. Same age as my dad. Too early to go.
Like the video batgirl.

Big deal David Bowie was when growing up.......you couldn't really pigeon hole his music......and even though I was Ska and Mod music obsessed , I still had lots of Bowie albums. Such incredible diversity! I've been watchin a lot of TV tributes and he really did influence an amazing amount of other musicians and create fashions Amazing man........we're all lucky that he made so much music for us to listen to for ever !!

Don't think it has been mentioned else where but was sad to see the announcement that DJ Ed stewart died a few days ago.
Brings back memories of Saturday morning radio from early seventies.

That's a real shock; was listening to Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart on Radio 2 on Christmas Day doing his Junior Choice show. He's been doing it every Christmas Day for about 4 years now & played all the 60's & 70's songs from my childhood. A real icon of my childhood from Crackerjack as well; RIP Stewpot.
