Come on then whats everyone's favourite TV or film motor? Mine would obviously be the Sweeney consul followed by a Dodge Charger though not in duke colours or the challenger from Vanishing point.

I agree about the Consul in The Sweeney. Got to be the most defining car used in any TV programme.
Also, the car used by Starsky and Hutch, and the car Kojak had with the magnetic red flashing light. The big American cars always looked impressive, all that body roll when being driven hard in a car chase.

Can't say I'm not disappointed that you didn't mention my Cortina or Quattro lads :o The Consul was iconic though, I'll give you that GH.

I always had a soft spot for ST's Jag XJS in 'The Return Of The Saint'.

This is a very hard thing for me to choose, so many fantastic motors on the box over the years. One thing I can tell you is, it isn't a certain Yellow 3 Wheeled van !!!! When watching these shows back in the day as a youngster the cars that i Loved the most were: - 1960's Adam West Batmobile
- Bond's DB5
- General Lee Dodge Charger
- Doyle's RS2000
- Pink Panther's show's Car.
Now though i like - The Sweeney Consul GT NHK 295M
- The Sweeney 3.0 S Silver mk1
- Doyles RS2000
- Arthur Daley's Daimler Double Six
Sorry lads i cant choose one

I think I would choose Brett Sinclair's Aston DBS from the Persuaders or Arthur Daley's yellow Daimler from Minder The Saint

There's a good selection of cars mentioned but I'd have to add Steve McQueen's'68 Mustang from Bullitt into the mix. Sadly I didn't get to ride in Gene's Audi, some bird called Alex got that seat, but his mk3 Cortina was stunning.
Perhaps we should list these cars and set up a poll where we can vote on our top three?

Always liked Bodies silver Capri 3.0s UOO303T. Solid gear that one! I was also partial to Spenders Sierra Cosworth G325WVW too which is sadly thought to have been burnt out in Middlesbrough.

The 'Sweeney' Consul NHK 295M has always been a favourite but for me it's the Aston DBS and Ferrari Dino 246GT from 'The Persuaders' which both top my list. The Dino still lives in Italy but apparently the owner isn't the slightest bit interested in its early TV background, and the Aston sold at auction last year for £550,000! Another one high on the list is the Rover P5B Coupe used as the main car in 'Villain', reg. number HXC 802H, which also appeared in an episode of 'The Persuaders'. www.flickr.com/photos/21403537@N00/12154463536/in/set-72157640179766625
