Nice one Del.....I was going to mention the clashes against Liverpool, who as we all know were a major force in the 70s and 80s.There must have been some very animated arguments between passionate scousers during these times!!!Both Everton and Liverpool had top class sides during the early to mid 80s,some top,top players.Happy times on Merseyside.

I’m an Evertonian myself,so the passing of Howard Kendall is sad news for me, especially as it comes on the same weekend as we get hammered by Manure.I started supporting the Toffees back in 1970 when we won the league. The best player in my school supported them so I figured if I supported them I’d end up as good as him. This is the logic of an 8 year old after all. We had a great team in the 70’s Ball, Kendall,Royal etc.and another good team in the 80’s.With any luck Martinez will have us back on top in a season or two.

They were indeed two good era's for Everton. I think Everton were the first side to suffer from the English clubs ban in Europe after there last league championship win.

Yes that's true del Everton were a quality side who all worked like Trojans for each other and had some great if not top star names such as Sheedy Trevor Stevens and Steven , Reid , southall , Heath ,sharp to name Just a few !
Robbed by the hooligan element of those days
Great stuff

Fab photos your lordship 👍 I was watching a big match live yesterday from 12 December 1976 on itv 4 .
I was explaining to my son how much better the great game was then , and how much better my team Ipswich were in those days
I was only 7 years old a few days before my 8th birthday 🎁
That made him chuckle
