Does anyone know the location of the quarry scenes in this episode ? Also, is Millan's car lot the same location used for the Minder car lot ? Millan's car lot is the same location as the Minder car lot for the first few series. We went there on the meet in October 2016 According to Gene's locations list, this is the address of the quarry: Springwell Quarry Springwell Lane Harefield

Thanks Steve. I have seen this episode a few times but not for a while. Watched it today and wondered about that car lot, it looked familiar and I must have wondered the same thing before. Thanks for the Quarry location too

One of my favourite episodes this one. It has an unusual air of mystery for a Sweeney story, not a typical tone for this series. I love how it weaves George's unprofessional but vindicated belief in the girl, Jack's cynicism, and Haskin's desire to right an embarrassing failure. Dave King, is an excellent villain and a typical but unusual piece of casting by the producers (if that makes sense). The kids playing in the bath tub in the quarry bring back memories! :D

Yes. Agreed. Just watched it again. It really is terrific.
Great script. Unusual, slightly arty, direction.
A new angle on the traditional blag story.
Geraldine James is lovely - and her character works well.
And the long hot Summer of 76.
One of the best.
What's not to love?

It is a bit different from the rest and I like that.
