Really pleased for Lando. The McLaren looked very competitive all weekend and deserved to join Red Bull and Ferrari as race winners this season. Norris drove a blinder and won on merit. Looks a bit more hopeful for the European leg of the championship now.

I think what Miami showed is if Red Bull drop the ball slightly or aren't quite on it McLaren and Ferrari can pounce and take a few results from them and as you say the European races could give some hope for it not all being a RB cakewalk this year. Also special mention to Zak Brown and Andrea Stella at McLaren they've done a great job over the last few years with the team and even when a few seasons haven't gone to plan or started badly like last season they've not hit the panic button and instead found ways to work things out and turn out decent results... and a couple of wins with Ricciardo and now Norris. Bring on Imola.

What a brilliant result with Lando Norris winning. I think we all needed that as much as he did. Those upgrades made to his car must have made a huge difference and Piastri will receive the same amount of upgrades in Imola.
The Miami race seems to be one that is full of instagram people, celebrities, loud music and a party vibe. Maybe not as many real F1 fans as at other tracks. Reading reviews of the Miami race online everyone mentions the heat, the need to have a grandstand seat in the shade, the 20% extra charged by restaurants in the area, the long distance needed to walk from the car parking (30 mins), the dreadful traffic getting out of there... Not a lot of talk about the actual race ! I think that might sum up my thoughts that this isn't a race attended by the usual diehard F1 fans.

Aside from Lando chasing down Verstappen this GP was pretty quiet. There are signs the rest of the field are closing in on the RedBulls so hopefully we get some good action at the top of the grid.

Here's some of the highlights from Monaco. Well done Charles Leclerc finally nailing his home race. Had a bit of pressure from Oscar Piastri in the early stages which led to a clash with Sainz which normally would've put him out but the big smash between Perez, Magnussen and others helped and the restart Carlos get back in a decent position in 3rd eventually. That smash was a bit avoidable and more so Magnussen's fault I'm afraid and could've been much worse. Another daft crash was the Gasly Ocon coming together too, both drivers should be much more experienced than that. Yes Alpine is a bit... but still they've been around the block a bit now and kind of a rookies error. I've seen Ocon getting more of the blame for this and maybe Alpine could look at replacing him (Mick Schumacher's being mentioned) but that team considering it's resources and history shouldn't be scrapping at the back like they are right now. Apart from that the restart was quite a processional race as expected in Monaco unless you get a pile up (like the Magnussen/Perez one) or a rain storm like 1996. The best overtaking was in the midfield with Bottas, Stroll, Zhou Guanyu having a few battles but nothing too exciting either. Race wise early promise in practice for Mercedes evaporated although Russell's 5th and Hamilton's 7th was okayish, Miami's race winner Norris got a decent 4th and a good points for Tsunoda, Albon and a decent recovery to 10th for Gasly too. Should Monaco be changed to make it more suitable for overtaking? Is it past it's prime? Not for me to say but it's an iconic race and deserves it's place on the calendar and realistically all flaws aside changing it isn't the answer here for some who think it should improve the show. Will Red Bull/Verstappen bounce back next time out? Ferrari carry on their momentum as they could challenge now? McLaren in the mix and maybe Mercedes on the road back? We'll know next time out in Canada a race I enjoyed attending in 2018 and a very different circuit to Monaco's street scene. Bring it on!

Yes agree completely! It has such history and awesome setting. Will Red Bull/Verstappen bounce back next time out? Ferrari carry on their momentum as they could challenge now? McLaren in the mix and maybe Mercedes on the road back? ... Bring it on! Yes agree completely again. There is the chance of real competition throughout the rest of the year and that is something to get excited about.

Good summing up on Monaco D.E Well done to Charles Leclerc. Charles is the number one around these streets. I will be watching with interest to see how Leclerc's times compare to Hamilton's next year. Monaco, this is truly an iconic race, the one that is synonymous with F1 Grand Prix racing. The racing here or lack of it has been an age old debate. Having watched this since the 80s I think its at its least competitive at the moment. The cars have never been bigger which doesn't help (See below) they are currently the biggest overall and heaviest they have ever been however, the 80s and 90s cars were wider. The loss of refuelling and tyres are the biggest loss factors of why its currently a procession. The circuit itself being the other factor but of course being a street circuit is the hardest thing to amend. I still enjoy watching cars go round this circuit. I love watching the onboard drivers view footage which leaves you wondering how on earth do they not hit the barriers over 78 laps !
