You may know that the hit man in Big Brother is played by Tom Bell's brother Keith Bell. Whilst looking at images of Tom Bell on Rexfeatures I noticed that he was in an episode of The Protectors called 'Shadbolt', in which he plays a hit man complete with Mauser pistol. Although he didn't write this episode, Big Brother writer Trevor Preston had done a number of Protectors episodes a couple of years previously, maybe Shadbolt was the inspiration for Big Brother's Eddie Swan? Maybe the Mauser used was the self same one used by Keith, it wouldn't be so unlikely that the same armourer was used. itctv.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/the-protectors-season-2-episode-22-shadbolt/
Do you mind not calling me squire or chief or boyo or mate?

I rewatched Big Brother last night - third or fourth viewing I'd guess
I rate it as one of the better episodes in Series Two
Regan's violent reputation catches up with him when even George is unsure whether to give him the benefit of the doubt when a suspect collapses in custody with a ruptured kidney.
Whilst it's a rock solid 4 out of 10 I can't help but feel it could have ratcheted up the tension more than it did. Little was made of Scottish hitman Eddie Swan and it just sort of petered out when Deacon Jr tells big brother Phil it wasn't Regan that gave him the kicking whilst, simultaneously, Regan and Carter have arrested the pimp responsible for the assault.
Does Gwen Taylor appear in any other episodes? Or is she another of Jack's one off girlfriends?
