I noticed in an obituary yesterday that Welsh character actor Richard Davies, who played the doctor in this episode, had died on 8th October, aged 89.

Oh-wasn't he the same feller that was in an episode of Fawlty Towers?I think it may have been 'The Kipper And The Corpse'.That's a shame. Not a bad age though,89.Good innings.

I think this was the first episode of The Sweeney that I ever saw. Watched it at a friends house & was instantly hooked!

This one was on earlier in the week and I thought it was another good episode. One aspect of it was innovative, the “film within a film where the squad were watching footage of the robbery in an attempt to trace the missing bag.

Always cracks me up the banter during the film showing! It's also notable as the only episode where we don't hear any incidental music as far as I know.

That scene is probably in my top 5 Sweeney scenes. It's interesting to think that it could've been possible to have the series focusing more on the squad as a whole rather than Regan and Carter.

I like it when the squad at large is involved. Sometimes it can be a bit too much Regan and Carter. The way the pair of them manage the squad is really well done in this episode and throughout the entire run.

It adds that bit of realism to it. And as we know they had inside information so all this type of stuff was very accurate.
