I only watched odd ones of the early series, 79/80/81/82. The later US ones I never bothered with. Liked the location filming in and around Norwich in the early ones. Only visited Norwich once, in the Summer of 76, remember thinking it was quite a nice city.

Haven't been to Norwich in years - though from memory it was a pain to get to as there wasn't a dual carriageway/motorway, it just seemed like back roads!

Absolutely brilliant series, loved watching um all, some of the episodes are just crackers, hilliarious, especially Royal Jelly, was crying laughing when the nut job kept feeding it to his mrs' and then she ultimately starts buzzing like a Bee

Yes they have upgraded the A11 since then. They also have mains electricity!

Running water? Gawd no, it is Norfolk you realise. When we get our next rail rover, I may venture down. Seems a nice part of the world to visit.

There was another - about a widow who had kept her husbands eye / brain in a tank after his death (his wishes) this thing lived and reacted to stuff.
Seeing that aged 9 freaked me out.
Joan Collins was in "Georgy Porgy" with John Alderton. Alderton played a vicar who fantasized about the female members of his congregation while he read sermons.
One scene needed the female members to be topless - the church they were shooting in kicked them out and the whole scene had to be shot in a community hall. Ho Hum.

Yes I remember the Joan Collins/John Alderton one now. I think it was about April/May 1980 from memory.
The Susan Penhaligon one was called Decoy, from the Summer of 82. Some good location filming in Norwich
