Actor Ken Hutchinson, who was known for roles in Straw Dogs, Murphy’s Mob, The Sweeney (and Sweeney 2), Minder, Space:1999 and The Professionals has sadly died at the age of 72

Very sad news indeed.
Just recently seen Ken in some very major roles in Just a Boys Game and arguably the best episode of Target 'Big Elephant' as Sharkey a merchant seaman duped into smuggling heroin into and encountering all the mayhem and heartache associated with it.
Ken's Space: 1999 role in 'The Seance Spectre' was shown again on Horror this week so may be available for catch up too. 
His roles in The Sweeney ('Stay Lucky Eh?')/Sweeney 2 don't need explanation and I enjoyed his interview on 'Stay Lucky Eh?' as part of the Network DVD's too. 
It can be an overused thing to say but genuinely thanks Ken for your contribution to Film & TV over the years and some of the things I enjoy quite a lot too.  |

I always remember him as Mac Murphy in the Childrens' TV series Murphy's Mob.RIP Ken Hutchison  |

Very sad news.
I passed Ken a few years ago when I was in Maida Vale. He was dressed as though he was still in Malta, with a newspaper under his arm and a small bag of groceries. He nodded good morning and then continued on his way.
RIP Ken.

Sad news. Like Dirty Epic I was recently watching his performance as Dancer in Just a Boy's Game. Fantastic actor. RIP. |
